Students at Circus Harmony in St. Louis,MO, are being taught African Acrobatics by a very special teacher!

Peace Though Pyramids: The Next Chapter In 2001, Circus Day Foundation/Circus Harmony created Circus Salaam Shalom, a troupe comprised of local Jewish and Muslin children from Central Reform and the Clara Mohammed School. In 2002-4, they created Far East Meets Midwest, shows that brought together Asian and Midwestern arts and artists. In 2007, their youth circus troupe, the St. Louis Arches went to Israel to work with the Jewish/Arab Galilee Circus. In 2008, the Galilee Circus came here. While they were in Israel, they met an African acrobat from Kenya, Abraham Adoka. He is now in St. Louis with them, arriving on Christmas day, as an Artist in Residence through May. Bringing Abraham to American to work with Circus Harmony is another part of thier ongoing Peace Through Pyramids project. Circus Harmony uses the building of human pyramids to build bridges between cultures.
