Circus Day 1937

Circus day in 1937 was indeed a treat for your Great Grand Parents. This is the Al G. Barnes - Sells Floto Circus train arriving in town with many youngsters on hand to view the spectacle.

While this era of the American circus has passed, there are still many circuses on tour for you to enjoy!

Learning the Split.....on the Wire

Youthful Circus Tigers at Play

Here are two circus youngsters that are allowed to play rough! The young tiger cubs are 6 month old (white tiger) Krishna, and 11 month old (golden tabby) Samson. They are at the Marcan Tiger Ranch in northern Florida.

CIRCUS CHILD STARS, PAST

This rare 1951 photo shows trapeze legend Tony Steele at age 15 performing with the Gainesville, TX Youth Circus. Tony went on to become one of the world's most celebrated flying trapeze stars. At age 70, Tony still works out on the trapeze "to stay in shape"
